Reception Welly Walk

Reception children have started their new project 'Puddles and Rainbows'. This project teaches children about the weather that happens during spring and allows them to explore natural phenomena, including rainbows. It supports them to explore colour in the natural world.

To engage the children in their learning children slipped into their wellies and went on a walk around the school field. During the walk, children were discussing and describing the weather and what happens during spring including showers and rainbows. Children were looking for different colours in the environment and were noting down all the changes they have observed since winter.

Children also had a chance to splash in the puddles!
