Parent Teacher Association

What is PTA?

A PTA is a Parent Teacher Association, an organisation with a mission to make the school a better place for children to learn. William Byrd Primary Academy PTA brings together parents, teachers and children to raise funds and strengthen the school community.

PTA members will get involved in helping setting up various events that take place during the academic year, including, school discos, summer and Christmas fairs, fund-raising events e.g. cake sales and much more!

Meet Our PTA Team

	KIRAN - CHAIR ^{Hi, I’m Kiran - Mummy to Miya and Raya, and Chair of the school PTA. I’m the life of the party and I love socialising. I enjoy travelling, eating and all things music! If you see me around the school, please say hi! And if I can help you in any way, please stop me, and I’ll be more than happy to chat or answer any questions you may have.}
	MICHELLE - TREASURER ^{Hello, I am Miss Darby, my primary role in the school is Pastoral Manger and DSL. Some of you may have already seen me around. I have worked at William Byrd Primary Academy for 17 years and have organised many PTA events during this time. I am the PTA Treasurer and this involves controlling the PTA funds in line with the committee's decision. I make sure upcoming events are affordable and profitable and report financial information to the rest of the team.}
	CHELSEY - PTA SECRETARY ^{Hi, my name is Chelsey. I am very pleased to be part of the PTA team. I currently have 2 children in years 2 & 4 at William Byrd. I also work in a local primary school. I’m looking forward to helping out in and around the school.}
	LAUREN - PTA SECRETARY ^{Hi, I’m Lauren, I’m currently on maternity leave with my second child. My eldest is in year 1 here at William Byrd, and I’m excited to be part of the PTA team.}
	STANCE ^{Hi, my name is Stance, and I am one of your PTA members at our school. If you ever have an issue or you need somebody to talk to, we are all here to help. I speak English and Punjabi. You can stop me at any time and ask me anything and I will try to help as much as I can.}
	DAVINA ^{Hello, I’m Davina. My son is currently in year 3 (23-24 term) at William Byrd and he loves it. PTA has always been something I have been interested in, but this year decided to get stuck in and help. I have joined to support the children’s overall experience at school. Namely the events such as Fairs and Discos. These are the parts I’m sure we all enjoyed as part of our education. Making these memories for the children is a key reason to why I joined.}
	SUZIE ^{Hello, I'm Suzie. I have 3 children, who are currently in year 2, reception and my youngest will start nursery next year. I can't wait to help plan some amazing things for the children at our school. Please feel free to stop and ask me any question you may have about our events. I will do my best to help. Let's create some amazing memories for our children!}
