Visit to Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara

On the 11^th November Year 2 visited the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Southall. In RE, we have been learning about holy books in different religions. This visit gave us the opportunity to delve deeper into Sikhism and find out about their holy book the Guru Granth Sahib.

We went on a tour and were able to experience how Sikh's worship their holy book and what is written inside, including listening to a verse from the book. It was such a wonderful experience for our children and we gained some great knowledge from it. At the end of the visit, we had a chance to try some of the food they prepare for everyone to have in the Langar, which means community kitchen. We ate how they would by sitting on the floor surrounded by everyone.
