Year 2 Visit to Hampton Court

In History this term, year 2 have been looking at monarchs and what life was like living under their ruling over the years.
On the 5th February and 6th March year 2 had the chance to visit Hampton Court and look into the life of Henry VIII and how he lived. We helped Lady Isabella and Lady Alice plan a party for Henry VIII and even had the chance to learn a special dance!
We practiced how to greet people too. Did you know he had 6 wives? The first he divorced, the 2nd he beheaded, the 3rd died, the 4th he divorced, the 5th he beheaded, and the final one survived after Henry VIII died.
We visited the Tudor world and learnt some interesting facts about the clock at Hampton Court and about how important Henry VIII’s ruling was and the impact it has on the country today, good and bad!
It was such a wonderful day and we had so much fun!
