Reception Curriculum Update

This half term children in Reception enjoyed a wide range of explorations related to our exciting topic about Space.

The children designed and built rockets and space ships, talked about what is needed in Space and what we could do in there. We have been exploring what is an astronaut's job and what do they do in space'

The children have been learning about how people celebrate Lunar New Year around the world and listened to the story of 'The Race'.

As a part of our 'Starry Night' project, children have been learning about difference between day and night; the importance of good night sleep for our bodies and nocturnal/ diurnal animals.

Finally, we have been exploring 'Winter Wonderland'. We have looked at what happens during Winter and made our own snowmen.
