Chicks in Year 2

As part of the Year 2 Science Curriculum - Life cycles - Year 2 hatched chicks and the children enjoyed watching and learning the process involved in the chicks hatching from their eggs.

Our ten eggs, incubator and brooder box were delivered along with a poster and some manuals. All three classes were very excited and everyone was eagerly waiting for the eggs to start hatching. After the eggs hatched, we watched how the chicks started to grow taller, grew fluff and how loud their chirps became.

The best part of having the chicks in the class was having lots of cuddles with them throughout the day. It was an amazing experience for the children and the teachers.
