Year 6 Safer Schools Assembly
On Monday 17th June we had a visit from a police Safer School Officer. The officer spoke to our Year 6 children about specific school scenarios and crime areas specific to young people.
The officer spoke about many things but mainly about:
- Internet safety
- Stranger danger and being safe out in the public eye
- Travelling to school and not abusing the Oyster card
- Not travelling alone to school, as this will make them vulnerable
- Keeping possessions safe in their bags and not having them on show - especially mobile phones
- Age limits for social network sites and the age when a child can be arrested
- Abusive messaging and how harmful it can be to another person
